A Healing Walk

Friday 5/1/2020 - Today I left the office to take a walk up to Prospect Park, which is just a couple blocks away form Methodist Hospital. It was grey and the rain had just stopped, it was still misty. Arriving at the park, the brightness of the pink buds and blooms of a flowering tree struck me and were like a balm, soothing my eyes and my soul, giving me life.

I walked further and saw more trees. I saw robins at work, looking for food. One flew almost straight into me. I heard sparrows conversing in the trees above me.

Thank You , God , for this quiet moment of peace and healing. Thank you for the unique and beautiful song of each plant and animal, wind and cloud. Thank you for helping me make it through another day, and renewing my strength and spirit.

You are blessed, our God, Ruler of the world, Source of creation.
